| BPW/Oldham County |
BPW/Oldham County was founded in 1990 by women
in the county who saw a need for a network of support and information for all working women
in Oldham County. Our mission statement is: To empower women through professional and personal growth while
enriching Oldham County by supporting and enabling organizations to embrace our community's needs.
Meetings are held monthly, usually in Crestwood or LaGrange, KY, on topics of interest to working
women. Topics address the pressures women face at work and in their personal lives such
as stress management, political, environmental and educational issues.
Our organization has funded local programs and fund raisers which support
women and families in need such as the HOST House in LaGrange, The Apple Patch Community,
the Oldham County YMCA, the Center for Women in Crisis, and the Oldham County
Arts Center.
Our membership has doubled over the past year.
We invite you to attend our
next meeting, visitors are always welcome! |
